Glooscap Reach
- Glooscap Reach was formed by the Mactaquac Dam built in 1967 by the NB Power Commission. Mactaquac L. stretches 65 km upstream to Woodstock.
- Glooscap Reach is that section from the dam north to Longs Creek and was named for the wise and powerful figure of Maliseet legends. The name was approved in 1970 by the Canadian Permanent Committee on Geographical Names.
