New Brunswick's first national park was established in 1947 and covers 207 sq kms. The area, which contains 20 waterfalls, was not settled until 1825.
The park includes three campgrounds, a heated saltwater swimming pool and an extensive network of hiking trails which include the 60-km Dobson Trail and 41 -km Fundy Footpath,
both leading from the park to the towns of Riverview and St. Martins, respectively.

The county fronts on Chignecto Bay and was created in 1845. It was named for Prince Albert (1819-1861), consort of Queen Victoria.
