Description From Owner:
  • The place was named for Prince William, later King William IV (1765-1837), who was patron of the Kings American Dragoons, some of whose members settled in this area in 1783 following the American Revolution.
  • In 1866 the farm community had a population of 50 including 5 Rosborough families. The post office opened in 1845 as Prince William and included Rosborough Settlement.
  • Kings Landing Historical Settlement was the name chosen in 1969 for an historical village established by the NB government to depict a riverside community of the central St. John River Valley in the period from 1780 to 1870.
  • There are more than 70 restored historic buildings here.
