Description From Owner:
- When settlers arrived here they discovered large tracts of low ground covered with grass which accounts for the descriptive place name.
- The post office opened here in 1864 as North River Platform. In 1904 the name was changed to River Glade.
- Petitcodiac River No. 3 (Hasty) covered bridge, built in 1929, is on Powers Pit Road.
