Description From Owner:
- The place was settled in 1830 and named for a unique type of dam with upward and downward slopes to protect logs from the rocks and to prevent them jamming at the dam.
- The post office in 1856 was called Rolling Dam and in 1889 became Rolling Dam Station. In 1970 the name was changed to Rollingdam.
- Digdeguash River No. 4 (McCann) covered bridge, built in 1938, is off Route 127 on Route 760.
