Description From Owner:
- The place was settled in 1784 and the post office opened in 1854 as Rusagornis. In 1930 the name was changed to Rusagonis. Locally the place is referred to as 'Gornish.'
- Rusagonis River No. 2 (Owen, Patrick) covered bridge, built in 1909, is off Route 655 on Wilsey Road.
