Description From Owner:
- The community takes its name from the adjacent creek of the same name which flows SW into the Kennebecasis R.
- The creek is named for Isaiah Smith who was left to settle there around 1784 by his surveyor father. Isaiah soon returned to his home in Smithtown. For a time the creek was called Mistake Creek.
