Description From Owner:
  • The place was settled in 1847 and a post office operated here from 1885 to 1914. The community took its name from Yoho Lake and the origin of the name is not known.
  • The lake is shown on an 1810 map as Lake Yahoo. In 1825 Thomas Baillie named the lake Erina, In 1837 the Journal of New Brunswick House of Assembly shows the lake as Yoho Lake.
