385 Rue principale unité 1 |
New Brunswick Tourism Region : Acadian Coast
Description From Owner:
- The community is named after the river which derives from the Micmac word Anigadoo, the meaning of which is unknown although some historians believe it may have been the name of an Indian family.
- Nigadoo shows up as early as 1807 on a land petition but when the post office operated from 1889-1941 the name used was Nigado. The community includes the settlement of Upper Nigadoo and was incorporated as a village in 1967.
