Description From Owner:

The community has been called Back Road and Ripples Front and when the post office opened in 1855 the name was Little River.
. In 1904 the name was changed to Ripples, possibly given by Canadian Pacific Railway for rapids in the adjacent Little R. During the Second World War there was an internment camp here.
