- Marys Point : The point extends into Chignecto Bay and is believed to have been named for a part-Indian, Marie Bidoque.
- The name in Micmac was Scebelquitk. It is shown on a 1686 map as I au haha and in some old plans as Grenadiers Cap, likely for the shape of the knoll at the end of the cap. For a time it was also called Squaw Cap.
- Riverside - Albert: This is a locational name. When the post office opened in 1854 the place name was Hopewell Corner.
- Then it changed to Albert (for Prince Albert (1819-1861), consort of Queen Victoria), then River Side and later Riverside.
- The communities of Riverside and Albert were incorporated as the village of Riverside-Albert in 1966.
- Shepody River No. 3 (Germantown Lake) covered bridge, built in 1903, is on Midway Road at Germantown between Riverside-Albert and Alma.
- The Old Bank Museum at 5985 Route 114 was the Bank of New Brunswick for almost a century.
- In 1985 it was spared from demolition and moved to its present site where it now houses a museum and visitor information centre which is open from late June to early September.
