The post office opened here in 1885 as Ste. Anne and in 1898 the name was changed to Sainte-Anne-de-Kent to avoid confusion with other Sainte Annes.
The Olivier Soapery at 831 Route 505 near here claims to be the only one of its kind in Canada where you can see how soap is made and try your hand at making your own.
