  • Sussex Corner was the original site of Sussex Vale. Baker Walter Donelly invented the ice cream cone here. There are three covered bridges in the area:
  • Trout Creek No. 4 (Urney) covered bridge on Urney Road at Poley Mountain, was built in 1905;
  • Trout Creek No. 5 (Moores Mills) covered bridge on Drummond Road at Poley Mountain, was built in 1923;
  • Wards Creek No. 2 (MacFarlane) covered bridge on Church Road at Upper Wards Creek was built in 1909.
